Ambition is the last refuge of failure. ~Oscar Wilde

My name is Tsai, Hong-Bin (Benjamin). I acquired my M.S. degree from Graduate Institute of Electrical Engineering, National Taiwan University in 2006. Currently I work as a software engineer in IVT (InterVideo Taiwan).

I have expected myself as a security expert and put my focus on cryptography, security of network, operating system, software. That’s what I do for earning my living. I’m also a violinist, choir-singer and a basso-baritone.

I’m a Taiwanese. I speak Chinese, Taiwanese, English. I’ve had short courses on Japanese and German as well. By learning different languages I also have a chance to learn different culture and the spirit behind that. It is a great pleasure of mine to make friends with you from all around the world.

In case you have some confusion about the political position of Taiwan, I can tell you that we islanders are DEFINITELY not part of China. We’re not in war with China either. We have our own economic system, we learn and use Traditional Chinese instead of Simplified Chinese, we’re standing on the ground where people have rights to speak freely. Taiwan is an independent, democratic country and we don’t have to fight with that fact.

Good boy, I love this site and completely agree with your description of the political position of Taiwan. Even I am really proud of that I inherit the essence of traditional chinese culture, I AM still a Taiwanese, not a part of China.
